Woolnorth Renewables have recently purchased a number of automated defibrillator units, which have been provided to local fire brigades in northeast Tasmania. This campaign is aimed at improving the survival rate of residents and visitors to the area that suffer from cardiac arrest, which may result from heart attack, electrocution or car accidents. In a collaborative approach, the fire brigades will provide a consistent location for access to the units by those in need, and a greater patient survival rate as the brigades are typically the first responders to major incidents.
