On August 17-18 the Scottsdale Rotary Club, for the second year, put on the Rail Trail Run and Ride. Over 250 competitors either ran or rode along the picturesque North-East Rail Trail between Scottsdale and the Billycock. From a grueling 54km ultramarathon to a 2km race, the event gave everyone the opportunity to get active. Well done to everyone who competed or helped out. This fantastic event not only showcased the North-East Rail Trail to the broader community, but any profit from the event supports the development and ongoing maintenance of the trail.
