The exercises put the site team and the TFS specialists through their paces to rescue live and dummy patients from various parts of the wind turbine including the tower, the nacelle and out of the nose cone at the centre of the 45m long blades. The 2 days of training was also attended by Cameron Tanner from Tasmania Police and volunteer TFS brigade chief Rodney Moore.
The exercise provided valuable experience for the site team and the agencies involved and provided excellent scenario training for any real life situations.
