Woolnorth Renewables is proud to help power the 2025 Rail Trail Run and Ride!

Now in its eighth year, this iconic event brings hundreds of runners and riders to the stunning North-East Rail Trail—stretching from Scottsdale to Billycock Hill—for a weekend of energy, adventure, and community spirit.

As a long-standing supporter of the Festival, Woolnorth Renewables is thrilled to help showcase Tasmania’s beautiful natural landscapes while encouraging healthy lifestyles and stronger regional connections.

New for 2025: The Teams Event

This year introduced an exciting Teams Challenge for both runners and riders.

  • Teams of four
  • Run 7km or Ride 14km
  • Compete together and celebrate your success at the finish line

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-timer, this was a chance to be part of something fun, fast, and team-focused.

A Festival of Movement and Mateship

The celebration began on Friday 12 September at Little Rivers Brewery with Festival Opening Night—a perfect place to:

  • Collect race bibs
  • Pick up official merch
  • Share a drink and connect with fellow runners and riders

Woolnorth Renewables proudly supported a weekend filled with community energy, on and off the trail.

Powering Community Impact

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Scottsdale in partnership with the Launceston Running Club, the Festival reflects what matters to Woolnorth Renewables:
sustainable communities, environmental appreciation, and active local engagement.

All event profits go directly back into maintaining and enhancing the North-East Rail Trail, supporting tourism, recreation, and regional pride.

From short family-friendly loops (2km) to epic endurance distances (up to 54km), you could run, ride—or do both!

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or a great weekend out, there’s a place for everyone on the trail.

Woolnorth Renewables is proud to energise this much-loved Tasmanian event—bringing people together through movement, nature, and community.

We’ll see you on the trail!
